Peter was proud today to receive the endorsement of the Vermont State Employees Association (VSEA).
“I am humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of the hard working state employees of Vermont,” said Shumlin. “As a jobs creator, small business owner and legislative leader who gets tough things done, I will usher in a new era of cooperation, respect, appreciation and collaboration as we deliver services to the hard working taxpayers of the state of Vermont. We need to work collaboratively in state government to implement the bold changes that will help our small businesses, grow jobs and put Vermont back to work.”
“The VSEA membership’s support for Peter Shumlin is strong, and VSEA members are fired up and ready to go to work for Peter,” said VSEA Legislative Committee chairperson Jeff Briggs. “Throughout his legislative career, Peter Shumlin’s door was always open to VSEA members, and he listened to us and worked with us to try and protect what services and jobs he could from the Douglas team’s carving knives. Peter Shumlin is a longtime VSEA friend, and VSEA looks forward to helping him get elected on November 2.”
