“I first met Peter Shumlin when I was applying to Putney Student Travel when I traveled with 14 other high school students to northern Argentina. It proved to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my educational career.Throughout the application process, Peter was integral in getting me on board, and firing me up. Never before had I met such an approachable and eager local small business owner and leader. When the opportunity arose to join Peter’s campaign for Governor, I didn’t hesitate. I have had the honor of working closely with Peter and recently driven with him across the state visiting Vermonters. I have come to the conclusion that no one is more deserving and capable to fill Vermont’s highest post then he is. It’s been said many times that all the Democratic candidates would be vastly better then their Republican counterpart, which means the only thing left to do is pick the one you feel most comfortable with. I have seen Peter’s ease and comfort as a leader and small business owner. He is a people person with the exceptional insight necessary for the years to come.
