Despite the pleadings from the Douglas/Dubie team for more and more delay, he delivered a bipartisan 26 to 4 vote to close Vermont Yankee as scheduled and move Vermont to a renewable energy future that will create jobs and make our state a national leader.

Peter has taken plenty of heat for his courageous stand, but as he showed us one year ago when he was the first political leader in the country to pass marriage equality legislatively, he gets important things done.

Isn’t that what we need in a governor – a chief executive with bold, visionary and bipartisan leadership?
